All WHS Alumni Invited; Registration Deadline August 19

Dear graduate of Wahoo High School,
Plans are progressing for the WHS All Class Reunion to be held Friday, September 10, 2010 at Starlite Ballroom. Social hour is from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and dinner will be at 7:00 p.m. The menu is a two-meat plate (beef & turkey), mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, lettuce salad, roll, dessert, and coffee or iced tea.
Tables will be designated by class year so classmates may sit together. Roma Jean (Swanson) Smith (Class of ’69) has offered her “Smithaca Sounds” for music for the evening and dancing later. Honor classes will be recognized, especially the class of 1960, who will be celebrating their 50th.
Cost for the evening will be $15 per person which includes the meal, facility, decorations and entertainment. All our printing needs will be covered by Arnold Fencl (Class of ’54).

We have found class representatives for as far back as 1934 (Hazel Shanahan) through most of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and even into the 70’s (All classes are included so we’ll be contacting the “kids” from the 80’s, 90’s & the 21st Century grads, too). If you have contact with classmates on your own, please talk to them and encourage them to come.
Our limit is 1,000 people (Starlite’s capacity), but it would be great if we could get 300 to 500 graduates of WHS to gather for an evening of reminiscing and fun. If this is successful we would like to continue this into the future since WHS doesn’t have an alumni association.

| 03/30/2010 | I think this is a great idea. Too many of us have drifted out of state, or to the far western regions of Nebraska. I also know from my class' (2002) 5 year reunion how hard it can be to get a hold of those that have moved so far away. I encourage anyone with a social networking page (facebook/myspace, etc.) to post a link to this information to ensure that as many people as possible become aware of this event.
